With Prog#9 you can record the last 5 iterates in table A and also plot the observed iterates in figure A. Can you identify the period of successive iterates in table A? After 600 iterations we can say almost for sure that the period is 2 for r = 3.001. But, such an observation is only circumstantial and not a proof.

With Prog#9 you can record the last 8 iterates in table B and also plot them in figure B. Can you confidently infer the period of successive iterates in the last column of table B? Do you need more iterations than suggested in the third column?
