Hello out there In Landmark Land!!! We are excited about playing

Landmark with you. We want to tell you a little about ourselves.

M.S. #2 is a double class of 7th graders in the Middle School of

Hong Kong International School. We are a group of 50 kids from the

homerooms of Mr. Fischer and Mr. Lane. Mrl Fischer teaches Science, Math

and REligion while Mr. Lane teaches Language Arts, Math and Social Studies.

We have a very busy schedule and are sometimes stressed out from

homework and many other Middle School activities that we are involved

with, but we still look forward to playing Landmark with you. Good luck

to you!! Next week, most people have a week's holiday because of the

Chinese New Year (it will be the Year of the Tiger), so we will have off

from school from Saturday, Jan. 24 to Sunday, Feb. 1, but feel that we

will not fall behind in the Landmark timetable of sending out clues and

questions and answers to you. Our Landmark is a toughy! Here is some

official information about our school.

The Hong Kong International School

The Hong Kong International School in an international school

using the American style of teaching. The entire school is broken into 4

different areas: Lower Primary, Upper Primary, Middle School and High

School. The student body consists of over 2700 students making it the

oldest and largest international school in Hong Kong. OUr student body

consists of over 40 nationalities, so the ricial diversity is very high.

HKIS was founded in 1967 with a student body of 120 in one building. Over

time more buildings were built to hold all of the growing number of students.

The Middle School

THe middle school is the home of the sixth to eigth graders at

HKIS. After the building of a new building in 1994 the student body

flourished. More and more new students came to the modern, clean,

organized, and friendly middle school. The school day lasts from 8 am to

3 pm. During the day the average student will go through about 8 subjects

that might include English, Math, Science, Social Studies/History,

REligion, Modern languages, Music, and Spices (Art, Drama, Comuter,

Lifeskills and Health). HKIS MS 2 is made up by the students of two

homerooms.
