Hi!

We are from Vincennes, Indiana which is located in southwest

Indiana. It is a small river town of about 20,000. Vincennes is the

home of Red Skelton, a comedian who just recently passed away. We are

the country seat of Knox County, and we have lots of historical

landmarks, such as the George Rogers Clark Memorial and the William

Henry Harrison Mansion.

We go to school at George Rogers Clark Middle School. Our school

used to be the old high school, and it is made up of three buildings in

a two block area. We have lots of different types of sports, but our

main one is basketball. Our sports mascot is called the Alice. It

comes from a book titled "Alice of Old Vincennes." We are the only

school that we know about that has this mascot, and we are proud of

it. We also have an academic team, three newspapers, and many other

things. There are over 800 students in our school in grades 6, 7, and

8. Our school day is nine periods that last forty minutes each. The

school day is from 8:05 a.m. until 3:05 p.m. The school year is 180

days.

The class submitting the landmark is a sixth grade G/T English

class. We have three boys and eleven girls. Rebekah, Jeeta, Shannon

H., Shannon W., Lindsey, Sara, Mallory, Emily, Stephany, Andrea,

Crystal, Talmage, Nash, and Ryan are looking forward to solving your

landmarks. Other sixth grade classes will help. Good luck in the game!
