Dexheim is a small town in Germany. You probably won't be able to find this
town on most maps. We are a little west of Oppenheim. So, look for
Oppenheim on a map. It is near Mainz, south of Frankfurt, north of Worms,
and on the Rhine (it is spelled "Rhein" here) River. This state is called
Rhineland Palatinate or Rheinland Pfalz. The land around us is used mostly
to grow grapes. Some famous wines are made in this area. We are here
because we each have one parent in the United States Army. The military
post and the school are both very small. There are about eighty-five
students in our school. Our team has five kids. They are: Britney,
Carman, Nathan, Lark, and Emily. All of us are in the same fifth/sixth
grade class except Emily.

My name is Emily. I am in fourth grade. I am 10 years old. We have only 6
people in my class. I live in Germany, but I came from the United States.
There is another student in my class who has the same birthday as me. My
favorite cartoon character is Pikachu.

My name is Britney. I am in the sixth grade. I am eleven years old. I am
a cheerleader for football and basketball.

My name is Nathan. I like sports. I'm in sixth grade. My favorite
subjects are Social Studies, Math, and Science.

My name is Carman. My favorite sport is soccer. I am 10 years old and I am
in fifth grade. My friend is Britney. My favorite animal is a dog. My
favorite cartoon character is Tigger.

My name is Lark. I like to play on computers, Play Station, Game Boy, and
Ultra Pack PC computer. I am in fifth grade. Soon I will be ll years old.
I love Tweety Bird!
