Paul Flavin is a Java Developer working to develop interesting, interactive learning experiences involving math and visualization. These applets let you:
"Imaging the Imagined: Modeling with Math and a Keyboard" is the theme of Paul's site, and it includes whimsical discussions, derivations of the requisite equations, and Java applets that make the math come alive.
- move and rotate the Platonic Solids and other mathematical objects including a Moebius Strip, a soccer ball, a Buckyball, the Utah Teapot (as seen in Toy Story), a 'Blobby Man' and a replica of the Venus de Milo Statue
- render any of the Quadric Surfaces including his home planet, from any perspective, using a custom built, integrated Rectangular, Spherical, and Cylindrical Coordinate System Graphical Interface
- draw and add or subtract vectors and see the numerical and graphical solutions shown
- play a piano, create wave forms, see and hear them, play a tune, let a tune be played for you
- enter an equation and have it graphed for you

Some of these applets are original and some are in varying degrees derivative of public domain programs. Paul asks that you please review them. He hopes that you will find them innovate and of value to your efforts.http://www.frontiernet.net/~imaging/math_is_a_game.html
