Linear Programming is most definitely a good topic.
I'm working with on the the 4 NSF initiatives for re-designing mathematics
9-12. CBIA's Integrated mathematics (Conn. Business Association based).
We introduce basic linear programming in Book I (yes!), and revisit it
later in the program.

I'm sure I'm not the only teacher who needs good, approachable project work
on Linear Programming for her kids to explore on the Web.

NOTE: As the NCTM Standards suggest, our kids have daily access to a TI-82
calculator and expect its use or comparable graphing capabilities to be
part of most activities/mathematics we do whenever appropriate.
