Grade Level: 4,5,6,7,8

Description: This game enables students to practice converting one unit of metric length to another unit of metric length and to interpret metric abbreviations.

Objectives: To convert from one metric unit (in this case length) to another and to interpret the abbreviations.

Resources/Materials: Game board, markers, dice.

Activities/Procedures:

The first player rolls the dice and moves the number of spaces indicated on it if he can correctly answer the question written on the square where he would land. The other students check to see if he or she has answered the problem correctly. The first player home wins - landing at home must be exact.

Evaluation: Students check each other's work.

Follow-up Activities (Optional):

The game board can correspond with any topics. The size of the track can be extended or shortened depending on time constraints.
