Other Comments: I like how this tool makes practicing integer operations a game. I think it is much more engaging to students than pencil and paper practice. However, I would have liked to have seen the operations combined into one game rather than separated |

Review based on: I discovered this tool in a search for Math 7 tools. I took the time to try it because of the positive ratings it received from other users. |

Other Comments: I thought the tool was attractive because it was intuitive in nature. Also, by providing the goal of tic-tac-toe the game became fun instead of an exercise in repetition. |

Review based on: I was browsing various tools in the MathTools collection. I came upon this one rather randomly. |
Appropriate for: practice of skills and understandings |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? Signed multiplication, multiplication |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? Left-clicking a mouse, moving the cursor around, etc. |
What extra things must be done to make it work? None. |
How hard was it for you to learn? Easy |
Explanation: The one potential problem I see is the fact that the tic-tac-to "board" is rather overwhelming. It requires much time searching for desired numbers that could be spent more productively. There may be a better way to denote (and set off) where to find specific positive/negative combinations and the like. |

Review based on: I was searching for ways to help students learn about integer arithmetic and found this tool. |
Appropriate for: practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This tool is not enough to teach students about integer arithmetic, but is a fun way for them to practice adding, subtracting, or multiplying integers. They get to practice these skills while playing a game of tic-tac-to, either by themselves or against a partner. |
