Review based on: personal experience |
Appropriate for: introduction to a concept, practice of skills and understandings |
Other Comments: This is an investigational tool designed to get students to recognize the sum of the interior angles of triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons and hexagons. It does not allow for much investigation and all polygons are regular so students may not generalize to irregular figures. Would be useful to reinforce or launch a further investigation. Could also be used to reinforce additional geometric concepts. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? Students would need to know that a straight angle measures 180 degrees and that a circle equals 360 degrees. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? point and click |
What extra things must be done to make it work? nothing |
How hard was it for you to learn? Very Easy |
Explanation: The sketch animates through simple point and click. |
Ability to meet my goals: Effective |
Recommended for: Math 6: Geometry in the plane, Measurement Math 7: Geometry in the plane, Measurement Geometry: Angles |
