Teacher Review (Not based on classroom experience)Reviewer: Care Bear, Jun 9 2008 04:13:18:127PM |
Review based on: student observations |
Appropriate for: applications of a concept or technique |
Other Comments: I loved how the students could practice the difference between perimeter and area. However, I think the format could have been much better. For example, instead of dragging a new box each time, maybe have one that stretches and fills with boxes. |
What math does one need to know to use the resource? The difference between perimeter and area and why these measurements would be important. |
What hardware expertise does one need to learn to use the resource? Using a mouse, clicking and dragging items. |
What extra things must be done to make it work? Re-try dragging boxes so that they would sit side by side. At times it did not work and you had to keep trying until it let you. |
How hard was it for you to learn? Ok |
Explanation: see comments above. Plus, I think it would have been better if it looked more like real-life examples. For example building a fence for perimeter and how much carpet to fill a room for area. |
Ability to meet my goals: Neutral |
Recommended for: Math 5: Measurement |
