Presentation Summary

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

In this hands-on workshop, we will use HabiTechTH software and off-line activities to model the relationship between wolves and caribou. What can our models capture? What must they leave out? We'll discuss these questions as we use the models to create policy for the Alaskan govt. Wolves and Caribou is a unit written by the Middle School Math through Applications Project (MMAP) at the Institute for Research on Learning.Shelly Goldman (Institute for Research on Learning, Palo Alto, CA)
