NCTM San Diego
Presentation Summary

This is the summary of a presentation given at the 74th Annual NCTM Meeting, 25-28 April 1996, San Diego, CA.

The Simms Curriulum is an integrated mathematics program being developed under a National Science Foundation Cooperative agreement with the Montana Council of Teachers of Mathematics. With a curriculum heavily involved in technology, cooperative learning, and alternative assessment, exposure to the activities provides teachers with a glimpse of a reform effort. Minicourse will sample a geometry/physics lesson on reflecting light, a biology/algebra lesson on population growth, and a building/architecture/trigonometry lesson. Graphing technology (possibly TI-92's) will be used.Johnny Lott (University of Montana, Missoula, MT)
