Using Investigations to Make Algebra Accessible to All

This workshop will emphasize hands-on activities. As the NCTM says, "Learning in mathematics is synonymous with doing." Developing a robust curriculum around doing math should make the subject available to everyone. We will incorporate writing, reporting, and the use of technology. Activities include gathering data, sketching scatterplots, linear, and non-linear graphs, and interpreting data.
