Treatment organized into five generic types: graphical page display (Adobe Acrobat and the .pdf file format), native HTML using symbol fonts, embedded graphics in HTML (LaTeX), Java applet equation generation (e.g., WebEQ), and plug-in equation rendering (e.g., IBM's techexplorer).
