Description: The pond ecology Web site: an online telecommunications project that encourages worldwide, online collaborative mathematics as K-12 students study pond ecology and create a database of pond descriptions. Teachers can register classes and put local ponds online; view ponds worldwide; or take a virtual tour of an outdoor classroom and then send suggestions or browse others' comments. There's even a virtual pond for those without a real pond handy to their location.
