| How far is it from one place in the U.S. to another? As you type, this form automatically completes the names of populated places, schools, "locales," parks, islands, bars, lakes, reservoirs, bays, gaps, dams, glaciers, streams, wells, mines, bends, valleys, flats, summits, oilfields, some buildings, post offices, churches, cemeteries, airports, and other landmarks, based on the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) developed by the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS). This form calculates distances based on the great circle distance between points, which does not account for differences in elevation. Runs AJAX and requires JavaScript.
