| Along with the animated sign translator Sign Smith Player, SigningAvatar signs text in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed English (SE). This research project plans to evaluate the extent to which the addition of signing promotes achievement of specific learning outcomes, report the lessons learned, and broaden the translating tool. The software requires Windows. Two curriculum units are currently available: What's the Weather? (for grades 3-5) and Are We Getting the Oxygen We Need? (for grades 5-8). | |
