| RUMEC conducts qualitative research into the learning of undergraduate mathematics and creates teaching techniques based on that epistemological research, on Piagetian reflective abstraction, and on the ACE teaching cycle (activities, class discussion, and exercises). Read abstracts of articles, chapters, theses, and ongoing projects by Mark Asiala, Ed Dubinsky, and others, published in Journal of Mathematical Behavior, proceedings of conferences of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME), and elsewhere. | |
