| Download xyAlgebra for interactive instruction and practice in algebra, or xySolver for interactive instruction and practice in verbal problems. These two student programs include explanations of principles of basic algebra, step-by-step sample problems, practice problems randomly generated until the problem-solver demonstrates mastery, immediate flagging of incorrect steps, hint delivery and suggestions for next steps, solution strategies that change in response to the student's steps, and hundreds of practice problem forms generating over one hundred thousand distinct problems. xyManager, the instructor program, allows the instructor to maintain a student database, send messages to students, track progress and time spent by each student, display median values of student variables, assign exams and calculate averages and final grades automatically, and send class data to printer or file for analysis using a spreadsheet. | |
