Many concepts or properties of plane curves, such as cusp, tangent, evolute, involute, or envelope, are more readily explained by an illustration or animation. The mathematics in these pages are beginning college level; overall, the project is designed to educate and entertain. Mathematica, QuickTime, Sketchpad, and Cabri files are included, with methods of generating new curves and individual Special Plane Curves, from the Archimedian Spiral to the Witch of Agnesi.
