| An institute from the Center for Discrete Mathematics and Theoretical Computer Science which takes the approach that research and education should work hand-in-hand, that collaborations between researchers and educators are formed by understanding each others' work and needs, with separate programs focused on each group's interests, along with plenary sessions and evening lectures to mesh the groups with the planned outcome of stimulating discussion and problem-solving. The Institute offers three-week programs of research workshops, along with educational programs for high school teachers. 1996 - Computational Geometry & Mathematical Visualization; 1997 - Cryptography & Network Security; 1998 - Graph Theory & Combinatorial Optimization; 1999 - Graph Theory and its Applications to Problems of Society. | |
