Description: An annual series of free integrated mathematics, science, and technology instructional distance learning programs for students in grades 5-8. Each program has three components: a 30-minute TV broadcastthat can be viewed live or taped for later use; an interactive Web activity for the classroom; and a lesson guide describing a hands-on activity. (Downloadable lesson guides from previous years are available from the Library of Shows.) Register at the site for e-mail dates of upcoming shows, show summaries, and PDF versions of the lesson guides. Endorsed by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics (NCTM), NASA CONNECT supports national mathematics, science, and technology standards.
