| The Multimedia Physics Studios contain GIF animations, Shockwave animations, and QuickTime movies with accompanying explanations to help learners visualize physics concepts such as 1-dimensional kinematics, Newton's laws, vectors and projectiles, momentum and collisions, work and energy, circular, satellite and rotational motion, special relativity, static electricity, waves, sound and light, and ray optics. The Minds On Physics Internet modules feature a series of modules which target student conceptual difficulties with physics concepts on the topics of motion, static and current electricity, and more. Shockwave Physics Studio features interactive animations for graphing motion, free body diagrams, hit the target (horizontally-launched projectile problems), time dilation, length contraction, RGB lighting, and painting with color addition and subtraction. Other resources include the Quiz Room, Review Session, Project Corner, and more support for students of Physics 173 and Chem-Phys and comparable courses. | |
