How can I check my answer?
8541 * 4372 = 37340252

Your answer isn't right. The right answer is
8541*4372=37341252.
              ^
One way to check for mistakes is to divide the answer by one of the 
multiplicands. For instance try 37340252 divided by 8541 and you will 
see that you don't get 4372. Also, there are many pocket calculators 
or computer software packages capable of handling these kinds of 
problem.
