If someone is truly being disruptive, try to figure out why. Is he bored? Was he coerced into participating? Have his attempts at contributing to the conversation been ignored?

On the other hand, you don't want to spend too much time dealing with him. If you can't get him engaged positively in the conversation, the next best thing is to ask him (nicely) to remain quiet. If that won't work, you can use the software to ban him from the room... but that should only be considered as a last resort.
